SurveyMonkey Audience has teamed up with Blueshift Research, an investment research firm, to deliver another report tracking monthly consumer trends affecting the marketplace.

With our Trends Tracker report, businesses and investors can stay in front of developments that might make the difference between big wins and big losses. For this month’s consumer trends survey, we surveyed 1,080 US consumers on 20 topics, including voting, home buying, technology, TV services, and drug laws. Blueshift Research analyzed the data and wrote up their findings on how these trends affect businesses and investors.

So, what did the report uncover this month? Here’s a sneak peek:

Online reviews can have a big impact on how consumers perceive your brand. So which sites are consumers trusting the most for reviews?

For the past couple months, we found Google has been the most trusted review site. But trust in Yelp is on the rise while trust in Google reviews has dropped 4% in the past month. And it’s not just young people moving away from the site; our data shows older consumers are doing so too.
