NBC News|SurveyMonkey poll: 2020 post-debate voter issues

A new NBC News|SurveyMonkey poll finds an uptick in the share of registered voters who say immigration is the issue that matters most (22%) today, up from 15 percent in September.

Other key findings include:

  • Of the 24 primary candidates in the running today, 25 percent of Democratic registered voters said they would vote for Joe Biden if they had to choose today. Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren both have 16 percent who say these candidates would get their vote.
  • Fully 74 percent of registered voters disapprove of the way Congress is handling its job and only 14 percent trust the federal government to do what's right a majority of the time.
