  • Is it possible to add a video clip rather than an image?

    • Kayte K

Hi Greg- great question. Yes, you can add a video clip into your surveys. You do need to be on a paid plan as you’ll need to ‘turn on’ HTML in order to include a video. More info here from our Help Center:

What about incorporating an image into a survey question? What if we want the viewer to have the image in front of them when they answer the question?

  • Hi,

Thanks for the great video. I wish I had known this before finalizing my survey. I tried to dabble with html to add images but was not able to store the images in a secure place which could be viewable by my respondents.

This video will make life much easier.

    Kudos SurveyMonkey Team.

Its such as you read my mind! You appear to
know a lot about this, like you wrote the ebook in it or something.
I feel that you simply can do with a few p.c. to power the message home a
little bit, however other than that, that is fantastic blog.
An excellent read. I’ll definitely be back.

I want a survey where people respond to the image and give their reactions. Is there a way to ask questions about the image? Thanks!

  • Steven

HTML doesn’t work anymore nor can you add image type questions. I’m looking to include a question at the beginning of a survey that displays two flags so that the user can pick what language to complete the survey in. How can I use images as the answers to questions?

    • KTsurveymonkey

      Hi there, Steven!

Thanks for reaching out to us here. You’re correct that in our new design UI, the HTML is no longer available. However, you can definitely add your flag images as answer choices.

Instead of HTML, we now offer an enriched text editor. To add your flags, you’ll want to click here:

      I hope that helps, Steven!

How do I make an image center aligned?

  • Drea Sorrell

I uploading a new logo to survey and it does not show up? The survey was live. Is it possible to update logo when live?

    • KTsurveymonkey

      Hi there, Drea-

You can definitely upload a survey logo while it’s live. However, if the account was previously a paid premium account, and has downgraded to a free Basic account, you would no longer be able to make the adjustment, since the logo is a premium feature. It may also be that the file size is too large, or that the page needs to be refreshed. For more on this, kindly review:

Can I add an image as a background / wallpaper? Cheers !

    • KTsurveymonkey

      Hi Blake,

I’m afraid there is not a way to to add images to the background of the survey at this time. We will definitely pass this on as a feature request for you.

      Warm regards,

  • Ankita

Hi Can I add pictures (smileys) instead of text multiple choice questions. As in, I want images in the answers as option.

  • Alex Leger

Hi, I tried to insert a URL as an image and it showed a broken icon. It isn’t an actual image but is instead a URL I’d like to fire when the respondent reaches that page.

If I switch to classic mode, can I use HTML to insert it as a 1×1 IMG or iframe? Any way to insert this URL in new design mode?

    • KTsurveymonkey

      HI Alex-

There are a couple of options here:

1.) You can switch to Classic design and use HTML
2.) Save the image from the website that the URL is hosted, and upload it as an image into the enriched text editor.

If you add the URL into the enriched text editor, it will simply show as a hyperlink. Here’s more (check out the tab for Classic for more on that):

  • Jon Marshall

Is there a way to size photos? I’ve tried uploading photos of different sizes, and it seems they are not shrinking as I would like.

  • Marilyn Lorch

I have created a survey and used a URL to add GIFs. I added as They all show up in the design portion of the survey but when looking at the live survey, only the first two show up (on the rest of the pages only the text questions show. Any idea what might be causing this?

    • KTsurveymonkey

      Hi there Marilyn-

Hmm. We’d probably need to take a closer look at the design. Could you contact support directly so they can take a peek? Here’s how you can reach them:

  • Amanda

Hi, how would I add images to individual answers of the questions? For example, we’re running an election and I would like a picture of the candidate to be by the option to choose their name. Is that possible? Thanks!

  • Sean Kardar

can you add an image as part of the question and also have a response box? For example – “tell us what you see in Image A” etc..

    • KTsurveymonkey

      Hi Sean-

Sure! You can include an “Other” answer, or open-ended response, on any multiple choice question! Here’s how:

      • Sarah

There is no option or instructions in this link on how to include an Other answer within the image questiona only how to add an Other to Multiple Choice, Drop down or Matrix not Image… I don’t want to add a new question after the image I want to image to be within the question…
