Online event surveys
Do you plan fundraisers, conferences, parties, or weddings? Whether casual or fancy, business or personal, you know it takes a lot of work. There’s the venue to book, speakers or entertainment to coordinate, and RSVPs to gather. Surveys make it easy to get the information you need—before and after your event—to be sure everyone has a great time, and to make each event you plan is better than the last.
How to use surveys in event planning
You can be a creative, plugged in multitasker, but you need to stay organized and anticipate everything your guests will need to be a successful event planner. Here’s how surveys can help.
Before you decide on that team building exercise, offsite, or holiday party, send out a corporate event questionnaire to gather all of the data you need to make an informed decision. Poll attendees about things like dietary restrictions and what they hope to get out of the event. Use our expert-certified templates, or customize questions to be as specific as you like.
Use surveys to understand everyone’s availability and to coordinate volunteers. To make sure your donors have a great time, take a little time to understand what makes them tick. Did the event do enough to discuss the cause? Or was it fun enough? Are they more or less likely to donate? Asking these questions can help things run smoothly so you can meet your fundraising goals.
RSVPs and scheduling
You’ll need an accurate headcount to make sure you have enough canapés to go around. Send out a simple RSVP questionnaire to get the names, addresses, the number of people, and any other information you need to accurately plan your event. You can also use surveys to ask about people’s availability if you need help setting a date.
Even the most seasoned event planners can learn more about throwing amazing parties. After your event, use one of our event feedback questionnaires to hear how folks felt about your event. You can ask general questions like, “How unique was the event?” or more specific questions such as, “What did you like about the entertainment event?” We’ve got templates and example questions for entertainment, neighborhood, professional events, and more.
Remember that almost anything can be an event. When people gather, it’s an event. Brunches, bowling nights, sales conferences, and wedding receptions are all events that need planning. Start out with a general event planning survey template, then customize it to exactly what you need. Ask about anything you want, from the preferred day, the color scheme, or what the signature drink should be. It’s fun and fast; you can send out a poll in just minutes.
