Terre Haute Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) Update -
|
Welcome
The Terre Haute Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (THAMPO), the transportation planning agency for the West Central Indiana Metropolitan Planning Area (see the map below), has recently started the process of updating its Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) for 2050. The MTP is a long-range transportation plan that guides planning, construction, operation, and maintenance of the integrated, multi-modal transportation network in the MPA. As required by federal regulations, the MTP should be reviewed and updated every 4 to 5 years (depending on attainment for air quality) and must have at least a 20-year horizon. The new 2050 MTP will replace the current 2045 MTP (adopted in 2018) and guide how federal transportation funding is used for planning and implementation of transportation improvement projects for the THAMPO region through 2050.
We invite you to take a brief survey to help the THAMPO finalize the goals, performance measures, and methodology for the 2050 MTP. The survey is open from May 15 to June 26, 2023.
Thank you for your participation!
