Introduction
The Police Leavers Employment Gateway hosted by the Police Leavers Partnership (PLP) is an online platform is designed to support every police leaver. It provides a range of tools and resources to ensure a successful transition into civilian life. The platform provides resources creating tailored CVs, interview skills, how to use Linkedin to network, find job opportunities and showcase your transferable skills and experience to future employers. The platform also provides materials to support wellbeing and resilience during the transition to ensure you are fully prepared for each step of the process.
The College of Policing National Police Wellbeing Service (NPWS) has commission a pilot of the Police Leavers Employment Gateway. The platform will be made available to officers and staff who are leaving the police service until the end of March 2025. The pilot is being supported by the police staff associations, including the Police Federation (FED), Police Superintendents Association (PSA) and the Chief Police Officers Staff Association (CPOSA).
In order to understand more about the police leavers using the platform, whether it has been effective in supporting them leaving policing and if they have found it useful. We have designed a short evaluation survey. We are asking officers to complete this before they start using the platform and at the end of the pilot. Your feedback before and after trialling the Police Leavers Employment Gateway is very important and will help secure additional funding to continue and expand this important service.
The anonymous survey will take 15-20 minutes to complete. We will ask you to complete this before you start using platform and at the end of the pilot.
Your responses are stored and reported anonymously. In order to collect and store the information you provide within this survey, we require your explicit consent. Participant
