The OSMOSIS Institute Board of Advisors is pleased to announce a call for nominations for the second annual OSMOSIS Open Source Awards. The awards will be presented at the 7th Annual OSMOSIScon 2021 held in San Diego, CA, and live via Virtual Globalcast streaming on October 12th, 2021.
 
Judging Criteria
Nominees can be submitted for more than one category. A separate nomination form is required for each submission. Only nominations that answer all questions will be considered. Each nominee must confirm her/his agreement to be nominated by responding to an email inquiry.
 
 
Eligibility
1.      Chosen winners must be exemplary innovators and nimble leaders who demonstrate a commitment to community service and mentoring.
2.      Chosen winners must be willing to be cited in new ad promotional pieces.
3.      Chosen winners need not attend in person to receive an award.
4.      OSMOSIS Board of Advisors and OSMOSIS staff are not eligible for nomination.
5.      Once nominations are closed, the BOA members will vote upon the submissions that are considered to have met the above criteria and eligibility. A minimum number of three valid submissions must be received before voting can commence. If less than three submissions are received, nominations may be reopened or suspended for that category.

1.      June 18, 2021: Nominations open 12:00 am
2.      August 13, 2021: Nominations close by 11:59 pm
3.      August 27, 2021: Finalists announced
4.      October 12, 2021: Awards presented

Open Source Intelligence Champion of the Year
Awarded to an individual whose investment in and commitment to open source intelligence solutions and/or training have proven distinguished achievements in investigative casework.

Open Source Technology Innovation of the Year
Awarded to an open source technology, software, or product line launched or updated in the last 12 months whose innovative solutions have increased open source researchers’ workflow efficiencies and effectiveness.

Open Source Diversity Trailblazer of the Year
Awarded to a person who serves as a change agent for a specific dimension of diversity by breaking ground through the use of open source skills and tools while demonstrating a commitment to the principles of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

Open Source Rising Star of the Year
Awarded to an OSINT professional who exhibits excellent potential through demonstrated investigative skills and talents and leadership at an early stage in their OSINT career (5 years or less).

Open Source Non-Profit of the Year
Awarded to a registered non-profit whose visionary open source work has excelled in serving the organization’s mission and whose distinguished achievements have resulted in substantial progress toward improving society and human lives.
