Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle Policy Priorities Survey

Your input and support make our work possible. Thank you! In last year’s survey, you told us that combating antisemitism and hate crimes, strengthening civil liberties and human rights, and supporting immigrants and refugees were top priorities. As a result, in the 2021 legislative session, your Federation’s JCRC focused our legislative efforts on these key areas and partnered with other advocates to: 1) secure funding to research the effectiveness of restorative justice in addressing hate crimes, the first such study in the nation, 2) ensure children have access to attorneys before waiving their right to counsel, limiting the ways the criminal justice system can take advantage of them, and 3) increase the length of time low-income mothers have access to critical postpartum care, improving their health and the health of their families.

We need to hear from you! Please take a few minutes (a little more than 10) to complete this year’s survey. When considering issues, keep in mind limited time and resources and prioritize the issues on which you believe a Jewish communal voice is of paramount importance. Your answers will be critical in shaping our 2022 legislative agenda and will ensure your voice is heard in our state’s Capitol.

All responses will be kept confidential, though you may choose to self-identify by providing your name and email. Providing your information allows us to share updates with you. Lastly, we will share the results of each organization’s/congregation’s constituency with its leadership upon request though we will never disclose any personal information.

If you have any questions before participating or need accommodations to participate, please contact us by emailing or calling 206-774-2225.
