Summer is just around the corner, and soon you may start to notice insects and spiders in your house or garden. There are many different ways people will deal with these critters, they may not bother you or you might hate the sight of them! We want to know what insects and spiders you see in and around your home, and which products (if any) you use to control them.

The information you provide will be used for our research and to produce guidelines to help people identify and manage insects and spiders in their gardens.

At the end of the survey you will have the option of going in to a draw to receive one of five $100 Coles gift vouchers. Also, if you live in Sydney, you will also be given the opportunity to volunteer your garden for a free biodiversity survey conducted by researchers from Macquarie University.

Please note: you will be asked to look at photos of insects and spiders for this survey.

This research is being led by Dr Lizzy Lowe from Macquarie University, if you have any questions about the survey you can contact her directly (lizzy.lowe@mq.edu.au).

The survey will take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete. It is mostly tick-box questions with some spaces for optional comments. Any information or personal details gathered in the course of the study are strictly confidential and non-attributable. No individual will be identified in any publication of the results. Participation in this study is entirely voluntary and you are free to withdraw at any time.
