Greater Downtown Redevelopment
The plan presents two design approaches for the redevelopment of the Meijer Trail corridor (the blocks on either side of the Meijer Trail from Lansing St. to Old US-127, described below. For further detail on these concepts, see the

Concept 1: Homes and mixed-use buildings oriented toward the Trail, with a greenway and rear parking.
Concept 2: Relocates the Trail to Railroad Street, allowing larger development lots and easier access.

Old US-127 Redevelopment
The plan presents three design approaches for the redevelopment of Old US-127 corridor, all of which include various streetscape and pedestrian facility improvements. For further detail on these concepts, see the
Old US 127 Reconstruction section of the Master Plan.
Concept 1: Three-Lane Road Diet. Narrower street with slip lanes and protected paths.
Concept 2: Four-Lane with Landscaped Median. Retains four lanes but adds a continuous, tree-lined median.
Concept 3: Storefront-Oriented Slip Streets. Creates a more walkable, mixed-use environment with storefronts closer to the street.
