Take the NEW Survey: Help Shape the Future of Crystal’s Town Center

The City of Crystal is advancing the Town Center Vision Plan, a long-term guide for how this central area could evolve over the next 25 years. The plan brings City policy to life with clear, visual concepts that help the community imagine how the Town Center could grow and change over time.

We have now developed guiding principles and illustrative concepts based on early community input, and we want your feedback. You can view the concept slides and share your thoughts at the City’s project page: https://www.crystalmn.gov/resident/community_development/town_center_vision_plan

What is the Town Center Vision Plan?

This effort explores opportunities for:
  • Redevelopment that reflects community goals and local character
  • Infrastructure improvements that enhance mobility and public space
  • Public spaces that strengthen Crystal’s identity and sense of place
The plan includes illustrative concepts that show what change could look like at key milestones, including 2030 (when the Blue Line station opens), 2040, and 2050, and connects these to implementation strategies such as phasing, policy updates, and partnerships.

Plan Goals
  • Establish a clear and inspiring long-term vision for the Town Center area
  • Identify redevelopment and infrastructure opportunities aligned with City priorities
  • Create visualizations to show possible future development and public realm improvements
  • Outline strategies for implementation that help guide future decisions
We Want Your Feedback!
Your input continues to shape this plan. After reviewing the concepts on the project web page, please share your thoughts:

👉 What feels most exciting about these concepts?
👉 What should change or be refined?
👉 How can this area better reflect Crystal’s character and future aspirations?

This December through early January 2026, we are gathering community feedback on the draft concepts. The project team will use this input to refine and develop a preferred plan to share with the community in late January 2026. The plan will include phasing strategies.

Thank you for being part of shaping the future of Crystal’s Town Center!
