Community Survey To Gather Feedback on Boundary Realignment Scenarios

The Green Bay Area Public School District is working to address declining enrollment, aging facilities and projected budget deficits through school consolidations and boundary adjustments.
The Boundary Adjustment Advisory Committee and community feedback showed that there was insufficient support for Scenarios A and B, which created several new 4K-8 schools in the District.
A new Scenario C was developed with the following criteria:
  • Use the Facility Task Force recommendations, which focused on building education adequacy, enrollment, and short- and long-term maintenance needs.
  • Continue to address the budget deficit through school closures/consolidations.
  • Reduce overall District capacity to address declining enrollment- currently, the District is at 76% capacity (1 in 4 seats empty) and in 10 years the District is projected to be at 67% capacity (1 in 3 seats empty).
  • Minimize student movement and feeder pattern disruptions, with a focus on elementary schools.
Scenario C also addresses the Board's previous directive of ensuring the resulting school populations are equally or more diversely integrated than present populations. The proposed boundary changes result in no significant demographic changes to the schools listed, with the exception of the Doty/Langlade consolidation. The consolidation of Langlade into Doty, results in a demographic shift that aligns Doty with the District's overall demographics of 38.2% white and 61.4% students of color.

This survey will gather feedback regarding conceptual attendance boundary Scenario C. Respondents are asked to rate their level of support for each scenario. There is also an opportunity to provide general feedback at the end of the survey. The feedback provided will be used to make adjustments to this attendance boundary scenario and will be shared with the Board of Education.


The link below houses a web application called an Attendance Boundary Locator. Respondents can type their home address in the search bar, and the application will return the elementary, middle, and high school assignments in Scenario C based on the address entered.
