WEHI's Secondary School Work Experience Program provides year 10 students from across Victoria with an opportunity to explore the career of a scientist in biomedical research.
Due to high demand of WEHI's Secondary School Work Experience Program, we are moving to a nomination-based application process. School Careers Counsellors are to nominate only one student from their school, and submit an application on the student's behalf. Students must be 15 years of age at time of placement. Students are not to submit their own application in this form; all applications must come from Career Counsellors directly.
Please note: school’s that are located in Regional or Rural Victoria will be allowed to submit up to 3 students to represent their school. This is to ensure that we provide opportunities for students are outside of Metropolitan Melbourne, and likely have a reduced ability to participate in medical research work experience in their home town. Please fill in a new form per student. To do this, you’ll need to open the link in an incognito / private browser after each submission.
The students accepted for the program are expected to attend the full week of work experience, approximately 9am-4pm each day for the 5 days for either the June or September cohorts.
