Pursuant to NYS Executive Order 203: New York State Police Reform and Reinvention Collaborative, the Schuyler County Administrator in conjunction with the Schuyler County Sheriff has begun a comprehensive review of the current police force deployments, strategies, policies, procedures, and practices. Subsequent to this review and in partnership with our community, recommendations will be brought forth designed to improve such deployments, strategies, policies, procedures, and practices, for the purposes of addressing the particular needs of Schuyler County and promote community engagement to foster trust, fairness, and legitimacy, and to address any racial bias and disproportionate policing of communities of color, As part of that effort, a community survey has been created to help our County gather opinions and experiences from members of our community.

We invite all Schuyler County residents to participate in this survey to help us improve our services, processes, and reputation.
