Education Grants for Teachers

Sumter EMC is excited to offer educational grants for classroom projects. Teachers who teach in a school within our service territory, which is Chattahoochee, Dougherty, Lee, Marion, Quitman, Randolph, Schley, Stewart, Sumter, Terrell, and Webster counties, are eligible to apply. Applications are due by September 19, 2025.

The amount of funding requested must be a minimum of $500 and maximum of $1,500. All grant recipients must send in a complete report of the final project, including proof of purchase of materials. We will require you to include pictures and/or videos and an explanation of the final project. Only one application can be sent in per teacher. Applicants must be Georgia certified educators.

Applications are due September 19th.
Awards will be given out the first week of November.
Funds must be used within the 2025-26 School Year.

If proper documentation is not submitted, the recipient may be required to reimburse Sumter EMC for the award amount.
