Thank you for your interest in participating in this online survey. The aim of this study is to investigate the English classroom experience with Japanese English language learners. You may participate in this survey if you are 18 or over AND are currently an EFL teacher in Japan. Please read through these terms before agreeing to participate by ticking the boxes below.

The survey should take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete.

Who is conducting this survey and why?
The principal researcher for this online survey is Brian Raisbeck (edbpr@leeds.ac.uk), who is attached to the Department of Education at the University of Leeds. This project is being overseen by Martin Lamb (m.v.lamb@education.leeds.ac.uk) and Taguhi Sahakyan (t.sahakyan@leeds.ac.uk) in the Department of Education at the University of Leeds. Any questions regarding this survey may be directed to those individuals at the provided e-mail addresses. Inquiries or concerns may also be directed to ResearchEthics@leeds.ac.uk.

This project has been reviewed by, and received ethics clearance through the Business, Environment and Social Sciences Faculty Research Ethics Committee at the University of Leeds.

Only the researcher and their supervisors will have access to the data collected by this survey.

Do I have to take part?
Your participation is voluntary. You may withdraw at any point during the questionnaire for any reason, before submitting your answers, by pressing the ‘Exit’ button or closing the browser.

Risks to Participant and Data Usage
To the best of our ability your participation in this study will remain confidential, and only anonymised data will be published.
