The City of Houston is developing a long-term plan for the city-owned facility in the East End Cultural District adjacent to the Guadalupe Plaza Park (formerly operated by Talento Bilingue de Houston, or TBH). The vision is to build on the history of the facility as a home for Latino arts and realize a dynamic and welcoming cultural center serving residents, visitors, and local artists.

The 10,000 square foot facility holds a 230-seat theater, dressing rooms, scene shop, and several additional spaces that can be used as offices, rehearsal rooms, or event spaces. The property also includes a large parking lot that can be utilized for outdoor events.

Multiple factors will be considered when determining the future operator of this facility, including the capability of the operator to maintain the space long-term, deliver accessible community programming, and activate all features of the space. As part of this process, we are collecting input from the community and artists to help inform the decision.
