Registration to workshop topics

It is obligatory for each person registering for the “3rd ESTRO Physics Workshop: Science in development” to fill in this survey.
If you want to ensure an adequate time slot for your research project in the workshop programme, please fill in this survey by 17 June.
Please note that all participants are still expected to deliver a brief pitch of their project (approx. 2 min).

The Physics committee reminds participants that
  • The workshop is neither a regular meeting based on invited talks and proffered papers, nor a teaching course.
  • The aim of the Physics workshop is to facilitate scientific and professional networking opportunities within the ESTRO physics membership, with physicists working in other areas and with developers in companies.
  • For this meeting participants register for one single topic. The program often includes short pitches by participants sharing their thoughts, and work in progress on the topic theme.
This is followed by ample time for discussion facilitated by the moderators, who drive the discussion to reach deliverables at the end of the workshop and provide a list of possible future actions on their topic to move it forward.

Concrete outcomes may e.g. be initiatives for new collaborative research or writing together a scientific paper or guideline.

The topics for the 3rd ESTRO Physics workshop are:
  1. Computational methods for clinical target volume definition
  2. Multi-source data fusion for decision support systems in radiation oncology: opportunities, methodologies, standardizations and clinical translation
  3. Implementation/commissioning /QA of artificial intelligence techniques
  4. Clinical applications and quality assurance of surface guided radiation therapy (in collaboration with AAPM)
  5. Plan Quality assessment: dose distribution metrics and robustness
Based on the topic you would like to register for, please complete this survey. It is obligatory to do so. The information will be used by the chairs of the topic you register for in developing the programme.

Thanks in advance,

Núria Jornet
Chair ESTRO Physics Committee.

Please note that this year all participants are expected to take an active role presenting their research project in the workshop topic registered for.
