Community Survey: Envisioning the Future of PVRSD

Thank you for joining in as we begin the process of imagining a creative, vibrant, and sustainable future for the Pioneer Valley Regional School District.

PVRSD long-range strategic plan
We are developing a long-range strategic plan to guide the district’s work for the next five years. Your input is critical if we are to craft a plan that truly reflects our community’s aspirations. This is your chance to speak up!

Imagine the future.
Use the three questions in this survey to tell us about your dreams for the future of Pioneer. What would an amazing district look like five years from now? What will we be focused on? How will our students and educators spend their time? The more specific and detailed you are in your responses, the better.

Dream big; think large.
This is not the moment to be worried about practicality. This is the moment to share the exciting and inspirational. (We'll have to tackle what is and is not feasible soon enough!)

What happens next?
After the survey closes, we will review all of your responses to identify themes. The themes that emerge could become areas of focus for the strategic plan.

We will share the themes in mid-October via our Strategic Planning webpage, school newsletters, the District Update, ParentSquare posts, and reports at School Committee meetings. Our goal is to present a draft plan to the School Committee for approval in January 2026.

On transparency
While we don't know what the eventual plan will look like, we promise to be transparent about how we go about developing it. Expect regular updates this fall via the outlets mentioned above.

On civility
Know that every response will be thoughtfully considered by real people. Please be honest, and please be civil. Remember: Being unkind is never an effective strategy for getting your point across.
