2021 ACS Data Users Conference (Now Virtual!)

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
SUBMISSION DEADLINE IS 12:00 PM EST ON MONDAY, DECEMBER 14, 2020
 
The 2021 American Community Survey (ACS) Data Users Conference will be held virtually on May 19-20, 2021.  

The conference will bring together ACS data users and U.S. Census Bureau staff to share information about key ACS data issues and applications. The conference will include:
  • Contributed presentations by ACS data users
  • Invited plenary sessions
  • Breakout sessions
  • Lightning sessions
  • Informal roundtable discussions
Registration for the conference will be free for all participants. We are inviting abstracts on any topic relating to ACS data, but we are especially interested in presentations focused on:
  • Accuracy of ACS data
  • ACS data for rural and tribal communities
  • ACS methods and survey design          
  • Aggregating ACS data to create effective user-defined areas
  • Combining ACS with other survey or administrative data 
  • Developing estimates and projections using ACS Data
  • Innovations in visualizing/mapping ACS data  
  • Innovative uses of the ACS for housing analyses
  • Innovative uses of the ACS to study poverty and income
  • Using the ACS for emergency response
  • Using the ACS to measure gaps in internet access
  • Using the ACS to respond to the coronavirus pandemic
  • Using the ACS to study community health issues
  • Utility of the ACS for private-sector applications
All submissions must be made by 12:00 PM EST on December 14, 2020. We will send notifications of acceptance/rejection by February 1, 2021. If you have questions or any technical difficulties submitting your abstract, please contact Lillian Kilduff at lkilduff@prb.org.
