Dear Parents/Guardians:
Thank you for your interest in Little Cubs Preschool at Marshall Public Schools. Little Cubs Preschool programs offer learning opportunities for children in a play based learning environment, to gain both social and academic skills necessary for Kindergarten Readiness and life long skills.
Little Cubs Preschool is a 4 Star Rated Parent Aware Program. Four-star rated programs are excelling in the use of best practices in preparing kids for Kindergarten. We are also a Voluntary Pre-K (VPK) program. We offer FREE programming for all students who are four years old by September 1, 2025, due to VPK and district funding. VPK funding covers 86 students, we ask each family to complete the 2025-2026 Application for Educational Benefits and possibly a Pathway Scholarship application. Free breakfast and lunch is also available to all full day four-year-old's. Transportation is also included for four-year-olds.
Registration is now open for the 25-26 school year. Class size is limited, once spots are full, students will be added to a wait list. Students living in the Marshall district will be given first priority. You will be notified by mail of your child’s class schedule the beginning of May or earlier.
We have three preschool classrooms with bilingual staff who speak Spanish and English.
Parents are responsible for supplying snack once a month throughout the year for the class. We also ask for Dixie cups for snack, school supplies and an extra pair of clothes. Throughout the year there will also be special opportunities when your child’s teacher will ask for help supplying items.
Classroom Engagement Model is an innovation that Little Cubs Preschool participates in and we want to strengthen relationships with families. We recommended that each family participate in ECFE classes; ECFE classes can help your child become comfortable at school. To register, contact Marshall Community Services at 507-537-6767 or online at ci.marshall.mn.us
Open House will be March 6, 2025 from 4:00 - 6:00 pm. Come and meet staff, check out the classrooms and have your questions answered.
During the first week of school you will also have an opportunity for you to visit the school and meet our staff.
