We would like to invite you to submit a proposal for a webinar(s) in our 2026 International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP) Professional Education Webinars - Digital Accessibility Series.

Presentations focusing on the following topics will receive preference during the selection of webinar proposals. However, these topics do not guarantee your selection. There is also a possibility that your topic could be pulled for a general, more broad, Subject Matter Expert webinar, or if there are like-themed topics, we may create a mini-series.

  • AI/AR + Accessibility
    • Tool deep dives, QA & testing with AI, user perspectives, practical “how-to” use cases.
  • Accessible Procurement (with global focus)
    • Building a program, supplier requirements, lessons from emerging economies.
  • Policy, Governance & Management
    • Policy development, remediation roadmaps, “team of one” strategies, KPIs and reporting.
  • Internal/Workforce Accessibility
    • Ensuring accessibility for employees (intranets, HR/IT systems) and related legal requirements.
  • Web, Social & Multimedia for Non-Technical Creators
    • Quick wins for faculty/staff: web pages, social posts, videos, library resources; applied plain language & storytelling.
  • Document & PDF Accessibility (end-to-end)
    • PDF/UA conformance; complex elements (footnotes, tables, multi-line links); OCR/scanning workflows; programmatic PDFs.
  • InDesign → Accessible Docs
    • Step-by-step authoring, templates, pitfalls and power-user tips; teaching PDF creation in higher ed.
  • Health & Neurodiversity
    • Designing for Chronic Fatigue/Long COVID; neurodivergent-inclusive products, content, and processes.
  • Sector Spotlights
    • Local government; higher education & libraries; customer service settings; communication access.
  • History & Foundations
    • History of disability rights and how it informs today’s practice.
  • Freelancers & Contractors in Accessibility
    • Finding work, pricing/engagement models, practice sandboxes, manual testing, screen reader workflows, and reporting formats.
  • Game Accessibility
    • Inclusive game design patterns, testing, and player experience.
Topics in this series may be of interest to anyone whose job requires accessibility awareness or competence – including but not limited to accessibility professionals, policy makers, developers, designers, testers and others involved in the creation or implementation of accessible technology, content, services, programs, and policies. If you don't see the topic you would like to present on but it applies to this target audience, please submit for consideration.

Webinars may be targeted to all skill levels. We have had requests for more advanced level presentations.

IAAP Professional Education webinars are 60-minute long sessions, including time for Q&A, and involve sharing a slide deck (Powerpoint, PDF, or HTML) through the Zoom screen sharing option. They can also include desktop sharing of programs or resources and additional handout materials.

DEADLINE: All submissions must be received by October 22, 2025

Webinar proposals will be reviewed by the IAAP Organizational & Professional Development Committee for content and scheduling. You will be contacted as soon as possible as to the status of your submission.

All IAAP webinars will be captioned and recorded for archive purposes and made available through the IAAP Archive section of the website.

Presenter Requirements

By presenting an IAAP Webinar, the presenter(s) agree to the following requirements:
  • Presenter(s) will speak according to the scheduled date and time.
  • IAAP reserves the right to cancel the webinar.
  • Presenter(s) will attend one speaker orientation at least three-four weeks prior to your webinar date (if needed, or unfamiliar with platform).
  • Presenter(s) are required to provide accessible event materials one week prior to the event, to help accessibility support team prepare.
  • Presenter(s) will provide all demonstrations of iPads, iPhones, mobile apps, etc. using desktop software (such as Reflector), or using screenshots within a PowerPoint presentation.
  • Presenter(s) should be available to assist in answering post-webinar questions.
In the event that the presenter(s) must reschedule or cancel the webinar, the presenter(s) agree to the following requirements:
  • Presenter(s) should notify IAAP staff at least one month prior to the scheduled presentation date.
  • Presenter(s) are encouraged to record the session with IAAP staff on an alternate date if the live presentation must be canceled.
USE OF MATERIALS:

By conducting a webinar, you are agreeing to the following related to permissions for use of materials:
  • Materials used during the webinar not originally produced by the speaker or IAAP require the appropriate permissions from the material's owner.
  • Permission to use copyrighted materials (e.g. images and non-images) is required and is the responsibility of the presenter to obtain.
  • Presenter(s) agree to allow IAAP to post the webinar in archived repository for future offerings.
