EveryOne Counts!, the Alameda County Point-in-Time Homeless Count of those experiencing homelessness, will take place on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 from approximately 5:00 AM to 10:00 AM.

On the morning of the count, volunteers will work in teams of 2-4 to complete the visual count of unsheltered individuals in every city throughout Alameda County. Two to three volunteers will be matched with a Guide (a person with current or recent experience of homelessness) to conduct a visual tally of persons experiencing homelessness in a specific geographic area. Guides will lead the team in canvassing their count area, using their direct knowledge of unsheltered homelessness in the community to collect the most accurate data possible.

Teams willl walk and/or drive their assigned routes. Volunteers are expected to carry a charged cell phone and to walk approximately 2-3 miles if necessary. Volunteers will also be asked to help transport their team members on the day of the count.

If you will be volunteering with other individuals you would like to be paired with, we ask that you only register once all team members have confirmed their participation and provided you with their email addresses. Only one member per team needs to sign up for the event and should provide the names and email addresses of their teammates when prompted by the form.

Please note that Guides will be recruited separate through a different process. If you have been recruited as a Guide, please do not complete this form.

To participate as a volunteer, please fill out this short survey.
