Body Image & Sexuality
I am a graduate student from Towson University's Women and Gender Studies Program conducting a study to learn about body image and objectification theory and how that affects an individual's ability to communicate affectively during sexual activities. In this study you will be asked to complete some questions about yourself, your relationships, and your attitudes regarding yourself and others from a variety of contexts. It is anticipated that it will take approximately 20-30 minutes to participate.
Participation is voluntary. There are no known personal risks associated with participation. Should you become uncomfortable or wish to cease participation for any reason, you may do so by clicking "Exit Survey" in the top right hand corner of your screen. Although there are no direct benefits to you, we hope that the results of the study will reveal something about human behavior in general.
Participants can be assured that the information supplied will be completely anonymous, that is, no one will be able to identify you by your responses. Completion of this survey signifies your voluntary consent to participate in this research and that you are at least 18 years of age. Surveys from both men and women will be accepted.
The Towson University Institutional Review Board has approved this study. If you have any questions regarding this research or its purposes, please contact the principal investigator Katie Kernan, (Graduate Student) at firstname.lastname@example.org, or Dr. Paz Galupo (Psychology Professor) at email@example.com.
