Purpose of the Study: This study will explore the influence game play has on relationships.
Description of the Research Procedures: You will complete a series of questionnaires. These questionnaires include measures of game playing time, style, and enjoyment as well as relationship status and level of satisfaction. All of your responses will be given through a secure, encrypted website
Risks/Discomforts: We do not expect you to experience more than minimal psychological risk while taking part in this study.
Benefits: There may be no personal benefit to you, but the knowledge received may be of value to humanity. Participants will be entered into a raffle to win one of several one-month time cards for World of Warcraft.
Rights: Your participation is voluntary. You can withdraw your consent and discontinue participation in the study at any time.
Confidentiality: The following procedures will be used to maintain your privacy: (1) Each participant will be assigned a number, names will not be recorded. (2) All information will be stored in a secured location by Dr. Novak. (3) Only the investigators and researcher team will have access to these files. Your email address will only be used to contact you if you win a raffle prize and/or to inform you about future studies with your permission.
