Your safety, your priorities!

Whitecourt Town Council, in conjunction with Woodlands County Council, is seeking input from Whitecourt residents to direct the Whitecourt RCMP on its annual Community Priorities Plan (CPP). Tell us what your top priorities for policing are for 2026-2027. To share your thoughts, complete the survey before March 9, 2026.

Explanation of Policing Priorities

Crime Reduction - Property Crime and Theft
Includes cyber security breaches, vehicle theft, theft from a vehicle, break and enter, vandalism, mischief, theft, possession of stolen property, and property damage.

Crime Reduction - Person's Crime
Includes assault, domestic violence, identity theft, uttering threats, robbery, homicide, fraud, human trafficking, kidnapping, firearms/weapons, etc.

Reduce Drug Offences
Includes possession of controlled substances, drug trafficking, production of drugs, and drug-impaired driving.

Traffic Safety
Include impaired driving, speeding, and distracted driving.

Police Community Relations & Visibility
Includes positive police and community engagement and collaboration with community partners, and community patrols.

Crime Prevention
Includes crime prevention education, school presentations, crime prevention programming including the AGENT Program, RISK Program, RAVE Program, CPTED, etc.
