The Cambridge Centre for International Research (CCIR) is launching the Student Research Symposium for its current and graduated student researchers. The Symposium is an opportunity for students to showcase their research and exchange ideas with peers and other leading researchers. The Symposium will also joined by multiple Nobel laureates, who have confirmed to attend both virtually and in-person. The distinguished Nobel laureates will also deliver keynote speeches to the presenters at the Symposium.

The symposium is only accepting paper submissions from current and past CCIR students who enrolled before June 15th, 2026. If you enrolled after June 15 or wish to submit at a later date, we are also considering submissions on a case-by-case basis until a late submission deadline of June 29. Please note that student researchers submitted before June 15 will be considered first, before we review the late submissions.

The symposium does not accept papers from the public, but members of the public are welcomed to attend the Symposium as observers.

Please note that not all submissions will be accepted for the Symposium, due to the limited number of presentation slots available. The submissions will undergo a rigorous peer-review process by both CCIR Academics Team and professor mentors' review. Students with outstanding research projects will be invited to present. The acceptance results will be announced on July 1st, 2026.

Selected students will be invited to present at the Symposium and attend the evening high table Reception at King’s College, University of Cambridge on July 30th to 31st, 2026. For presenters that could not join in person, they are encouraged to present virtually via Zoom at scheduled time slots.
