
Sunday River - River Fund Maine Community Access Pass Scholarship Application

1. Application Information and Qualifications
The Sunday River Resort, the Sunday River Ski & Snowboard Club, and the River Fund Maine are pleased to offer a season pass scholarship for students who reside in the MSAD 17, SAD 44, or RSU 10 school districts AND attend a school in the MSAD 17, SAD 44, or RSU 10 school districts, attend an accredited private school that is located within the towns that make up MSAD 17, SAD 44 or RSU 10 school districts or are a REGISTERED Homeschool student in MSAD 17, SAD 44 or RSU 10 school districts.
•Students who reside in a qualifying school district town but attend school in a non-qualifying town are not eligible.
•Students who attend a school in a qualifying school district town but are not permanent residents in a qualifying town are not eligible (this would include dorm students enrolled at private schools in qualifying towns but who do not live permanently in a qualifying town.
Additional qualifications:
•Families must meet the income qualifications (see below).
•Only students in grades PreK through 12 are eligible to apply.
•Home schooled students are eligible to apply but must be registered to homeschool with MSAD17, SAD 44 or RSU 10 school districts in order to be eligible.
•Students in PreK do not qualify as passes for all children age 5 and under are available for $30.
Economic qualifiers:
If your family has Economically Disadvantaged Income as determined by your school district, you automatically meet the economic qualifications and do not need to attach any documents as we will verify your income submission with the school. Please contact your school district to determine if you have economically disadvantaged income status before checking this box. I believe there is a form to fill out for this with the school district.
OR
The 2024 IRS 1040 tax form for the parent claiming the student(s) as dependents indicates you fall into one of these income categories making $80,000 or less with one dependent and so on.

*A signed 2024 1040 form must be uploaded.*

**We work with the schools in our region to verify all submitted information**
*If the student's school is unable to verify your Economically Disadvantaged Income eligibility OR you do not submit a head of household IRS 1040 tax form (signed) supplementally, your application will not be approved.*
Only ONE parent per child/children should apply to avoid duplicates.

All information submitted on this application is considered confidential and will not be shared outside of The River Fund Maine, your child's/children's school district and Sunday River Resort (income information is not shared with Sunday River). Please be sure to check the box giving schools permission to verify child's enrollment and Economic Disadvantaged Income eligibility (if applicable).
