Stead Elementary Property Repurposing Survey

Welcome to the Stead Elementary Property Repurposing Survey!

As you may know, Stead Elementary School has recently moved to a new location, but the Washoe County School District (WCSD) still owns the retired Stead Elementary School building and 3.4 acre lot located on 10580 Stead Blvd.

Since the District will not be using this retired property for any immediate school or District use, we are now exploring what it could become in the future. Options may include selling or leasing the property to fund new schools or school improvements, or partnering with a local government agency or community organization to address a community need.

This survey is a chance for staff, families, students, and community members to share what matters most to you, any concerns you have, and ideas for how this space could best serve the Stead area.

Your feedback is important and will help guide our thinking. At the same time, final decisions will also consider other factors like legal requirements, costs, and long-term needs for both the District and the community.
