College Tobacco Treatment Training (Sacramento, CA) - August 14, 2026

Thank you for your interest in the upcoming College Tobacco Treatment Training at Sacramento City College on Friday, August 14, 2026 from 9:00am - 4:00pm.

This training is designed for individuals working with young adult college students on tobacco prevention and treatment. The training will include an overview of emerging tobacco products, young adult tobacco use behavior, tobacco treatment best practices, recommendations for screening and intervention, and guidance on how to use motivational interviewing to support behavior change.

The training will be facilitated by the California Youth Advocacy Network (CYAN), Tobacco Cessation Policy Research Center, a project of UC Davis Medical Center, and Public Health Institute - Alcohol Research Group. The training is free of cost. Registered Nurses are eligible to receive CEUs from the Health Services Association California Community Colleges (HSACCC).

Lunch and a light breakfast will be provided to all participants.
