Introduction

WAX Design, in association with the Yorke Peninsula Council is undertaking a community consultation to understand what makes Robert Street Maitland a great place and what opportunities exist to enhance the Town Centre in the future. To gain an understanding of the Street, we would appreciate hearing from you and receiving feedback from the people who live, work and visit Maitland.

The focus of the project is Robert Street from Rogers Terrace to the Port Victoria Road intersection at Gardiner Terrace, with specific focus between Samuel and Alice Street (see map) and the results of the survey will be used to influence a draft design framework and concept plan to reflect the community’s vision for the Town Centre.

As part of the community consultation process, WAX Design and the Yorke Peninsula Council will be running an onsite pop-up studio on the 10th of December 2021, located in the Maitland Information Centre. The sessions are aimed to provide an opportunity to work together to develop the concept plan. As ideas and opportunities are identified, the design team will develop them into sketches and plans that illustrate what can be achieved. The design framework will be made available for public comment before it is used to finalise the concept plan.

45-minute interactive sessions will be limited to a maximum of (15) people per session. To secure your place please register via Eventbrite. If you have any issues registering online, please contact Council directly on (08) 8832 0000 for assistance.

Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey.

The consultation period is from 21st October until 18th November 2021.
