What is a random play dance?
A Random Play Dance, commonly abbreviated as RPD, is when snippets of songs (typically the chorus) are played, and people who know the choreography jump in and dance. It's an activity that has grown in popularity in recent years, especially in K-pop (Korean pop) fandoms. At ToshoCON 2025, our Random Play Dance featured both K-pop and J-pop (Japanese pop).
Please note that suggesting a song does not mean that it will automatically be included. K-pop, Vocaloid, J-pop, and anime genres will be prioritized. Songs will be screened for lyrics and content; songs should generally be suitable for radio airplay.
