Thanks for your interest in Victoria’s first Participatory Budgeting process!

Participatory Budgeting is a democratic process in which a municipality allocates a portion of its budget for residents to propose and vote on community projects.

Twenty-eight proposals were submitted by individuals and organizations this fall.  The ideas were vetted to ensure they were viable and worked to improve life in Victoria.  Now it’s the community’s turn to weigh in.

Eight shortlisted projects, that in total have requested $107,000 in funding, are vying for up to $50,000. More information about each project proposal can be found at -

If you are a resident of the Capital Regional District, you are invited to vote on the three ideas you would most like to see funded in Victoria.
