Otsego Lake Watershed Protection Plan Community Survey

Introduction

We need your help to protect Otsego Lake and its watershed for the continued enjoyment of future generations. With funding from the NYS Department of State, a coalition of local groups is working to develop a community-based plan to protect Otsego Lake and its watershed. We have developed a short survey to gather your thoughts about the Lake and watershed.

What is a watershed? A watershed is defined as the land area that drains into a common body of water, such as a stream, lake, or ocean. The Otsego Lake watershed is shown below. Actions taken anywhere within the watershed has the potential to impact the water quality of the streams and Otsego Lake itself.
This survey is designed to capture input from important community members like you. Your responses will help the project team define a collective vision for the future of our shared land and water resources, analyze threats and opportunities to achieve that vision, and identify priority actions for protection and restoration.

The survey should take about 15 minutes to complete.
