Near-surface Geophysics Community Input Survey Near-surface geophysics methods can be used for a wide variety of applications ranging from hazards and groundwater to archaeology and engineering. The newly funded U.S. NSF National Geophysical Facility (NGF) will be expanding support for near-surface geophysics and we are seeking input on what will best serve community needs. Please take a few minutes to complete this short survey and help shape future efforts. Question Title * Please describe your level of knowledge about near-surface geophysics. Not knowledgeable (I have little to no familiarity with near-surface geophysics) Slightly knowledgeable (I recognize one or more methods by name, but could not explain how or why they are used in any depth) Somewhat knowledgeable (I understand common near-surface geophysics applications and maybe have used one method with guidance) Knowledgeable (I have used one or more methods with minimal supervision and interpret data at a basic level) Very knowledgeable (I can use multiple near-surface methods and process/analyze data independently) Question Title * In what sub-disciplines are you active that could use near-surface geophysics?
