Applications are now being accepted for the 2021 Kevin Freeman Travel Grant.

Click here for more information about the Kevin Freeman Travel Grant. The 2021 MLA conference will be fully online, so Kevin Freeman Grants are offered to cover conference registration costs for qualified applicants. In light of the technological inequities exacerbated by COVID-19, the Freeman Committee may also award a limited number of tech microgrants that can be used for assistive technology to enhance applicants' ability to attend the meeting. Please note that 2021 registration is free for Students and members in the Emergency Circumstances category, and $25 for Early Career, Paraprofessional, Non-Salaried, Part-Time, and Retired members.

Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate and clearly describe their commitment to working with music collections and services.

 Applicants must:

●     Be a member of the Music Library Association

AND be one or more of the following:

●     in the first three years of their career

●     a graduate library school student

●     a recent graduate (within one year of degree) of a graduate program in librarianship who is seeking a professional position as a music librarian, or

Please submit an application using the form below by the end of the day on Monday, February 8, 2021. A current résumé or CV should also be sent to Carlos Peña, Chair of the Kevin Freeman Travel Grant Committee, at cep13@pitt.edu, by the deadline.
