Thank you for taking the time to share your insights!
The opportunity: Health Care Without Harm (HCWH) has worked for almost three decades to reduce the environmental impact of the health sector and protect communities from extreme weather. One of the most significant opportunities to drive change is health insurance, which can incentivize high-value care through levers including coverage and payment policies.

Your voice matters: HCWH’s Health Insurers Working Group – which includes insurers covering about 45% of Americans – wants to hear directly from health professionals to inform its strategic priorities. Your insights are critical to determining the policies and practices that best protect patients and decrease the pollution associated with care.

Easy participation: This survey has 4 modules featuring 22 questions and should take about 20 minutes. The modules are (1) background, (2) natural disasters and extreme weather, (3) lowering the environmental impact of care, and (4) research and philanthropy.

Eligibility: HCWH welcomes responses from all U.S. health professionals – no environmental health expertise required. You do not have to be currently practicing. We also welcome responses from students as long as they’ve provided care to patients. The survey will remain open until December 11, 2025.

Questions can be emailed to commitment@hcwh.org. We truly appreciate your participation.
