The St. Louis Regional Hazard Mitigation Plan* is currently being updated by East-West Gateway Council of Governments in coordination with a partnership of local governments and school districts to address natural hazards in the city of St. Louis and the Missouri counties of Franklin, Jefferson, St. Charles, and St. Louis. Since 2004, federal law has required local hazard mitigation plans be prepared and adopted in order for local governments to be eligible for hazard mitigation grant funding through the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

This survey is designed to gauge your general level of knowledge about the impact of natural disasters. It consists of 11 questions and should take five to 10 minutes to complete. The information you provide will help identify risks and preferred methods to plan for disasters in your communities.
