How are children and their protection being impacted one year on from major funding cuts and changes in the humanitarian landscape?
About: In March/April 2025, the Alliance for Child Protection in Humanitarian Action (the Alliance) conducted a data gathering exercise to understand the impact of global humanitarian funding cuts on children and their protection in humanitarian crises. Marking one year after the initial dramatic drop in foreign assistance for humanitarian action in January 2025, we would like to gather updated data to understand how ongoing funding cuts, shifting priorities, and humanitarian reform are affecting children and their protection.
Purpose: The first survey provided critical insights that strengthened collective advocacy efforts. With this second round, we hope to gather as much – if not more – input to build deeper, comparative insights one year on. Findings will be shared on the Alliance webpage and will inform joint advocacy and support to practitioners.

Instructions: Please answer the questions based on your organisation's operations at the level you work at. We strongly encourage this survey is completed by those working at country and sub-national levels - please share with your colleagues, teams and partners accordingly. If you are responding to this survey from the global level, please kindly make sure your country/field offices are aware so that we can avoid double-counting as much as possible.
We would like you to answer all questions to the best of your ability. Responses are anonymous and aggregated when the data is analyzed and published. The survey will take approximately 15 minutes.
