YIA Fall 2026 Common Room Sign-Up

Welcome to Yale International Alliance (YIA) Common Rooms!

What happens when Yalies from Europe, the U.S., Africa, Latin America, Asia, Oceania, and the Middle East meet in a virtual room? Creativity, insights, and inspiring conversation!


YIA Common Rooms meet online every other week over three months in 40-60 minute discussions. Common Rooms are an opportunity to create new relationships with far-flung fellow Yalies, further cross-cultural understanding, and continue that conversation you were having in your Common Room at Yale.

Due to past cycles having issues with participants signing up for multiple rooms but not attending, in this cycle, participants can only sign up for two CRs. If you want to sign-up for more than two CRs, please email Renata & Miranda at commonroom@yaleinternationalalliance.org.



Your CR host will be in touch a few days in advance of the first session with joining details.

3.Please list your Yale affiliation and year (e.g. Yale College, '85; Yale Fox Fellowship, '21).(Required.)
4.Please use this space to tell us about your international background and/or experience. This will help hosts understand a bit about the range of experiences in their CRs! 
5.Please indicate which of the following general conversation CRs you'd like to participate in. Signing up for a CR means that, to the best of your knowledge, you will be able to attend the majority of sessions. You can select a maximum of two, to ensure a likelihood of participating.(Required.)
