Host Sign-Up, Fall 2026

Logistical information

These questions cover the key logistical information we need to set you up as a CR host or continue an existing CR that you host.

Fall 2026 CRs will take place on the weeks beginning October 5, October 19, November 2, November 16, November 30, December 14
CR hosts will:
  • Send a welcome email/recurring calendar invite, and a reminder to your group (templates provided by the YIA).
  • Initiate the conversation and give everyone a chance to speak.
  • Be ready to start with a new subject if discussion flags.
  • Serve as a sounding board for group members, and share feedback or issues with the YIA, including any issues violating the YIA Community Guidelines.
  • Arrange for a substitute host in case you are unable to attend a session.
  • Keep track of attrition/schedule changes, and fill out a YIA feedback survey periodically.
Please note: you must be a Yale alumni of some kind to participate in the Common Rooms programme.
