The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board has a drafted a Master Plan for the Mississippi Gorge Regional Park. It includes approximately 132 acres of parkland from the Number 9 Bridge to the Ford Parkway Bridge on both the east and west banks of the Mississippi River in Minneapolis. The draft plan was created with the guidance of a Community Advisory Committee and other stakeholders and puts forth a set of recommendations for park improvements for the next 20 years.
