Shetland Cruise Socio-Economic Survey 2026 INTRODUCTION This survey is for: businesses and organisations across Shetland - whether cruise tourism is a major part of your work, affects you only occasionally, or has no direct connection to your business or organisation. Your views are important and we would greatly appreciate you taking a few minutes to share them.This survey will: Form part of a wider socio-economic study of Shetland’s cruise tourism market in 2026, which will assess its current contribution to the isles and inform recommendations to support the long-term sustainability of the sector. More than 1,000 passengers and crew have already responded to our visitor survey. This business survey will help us translate visitor activity into income for local businesses, where the benefits are being felt, or what pressures, challenges and opportunities cruise tourism creates.
