COPAKE WATERFRONT PLAN VISION & GOALS

The Town of Copake is developing a waterfront revitalization plan for the Roeliff Jansen Kill, Robinson Pond, Bash Bish Brook and Taghkanic Creek. Please help create a vision for our waterways by completing this survey.

DRAFT VISION STATEMENT

Copake’s story – past, present, and future – is woven by water. The pandemic brings into sharp focus our longstanding, essential bonds with nature, with each other and with our community. Our common ground of social spaces is joined by trails and parks, blue ways and bikeways that connect our hamlets and distinguish our identity. We adapt to challenges and changing climate and make Copake resilient, one backyard at a time. Our unique biodiverse environment provides clean air, safe drinking water and bountiful local food. These elements uphold our vision of a healthy, equitable, resilient, and prosperous community inspired by nature at every turn.
