Form Instructions
Thank you for your interest in the Climate Smart Communities Initiative (CSCI)! This form registers your interest in applying for funding to support adaptation and resilience efforts in your community, and is the first step in the grant application process.
Please note that the Grant Application deadline is March 21, 2025. Applicant teams must consist of a local community-based organization (CBO), a local government, and an adaptation practitioner.
If you are already working with an adaptation practitioner they should apply to join the Registry of Adaptation Practitioners as soon as possible to reduce the risk of the Registry approval process taking too long for the associated Grant Application to be considered for funding this year.
If you are not already working with an adaptation practitioner, after the Jan 10th deadline CSCI will no longer help match communities with practitioners by providing referrals. However, you are able to use the public Registry database to search for a practitioner with whom to contact on your own and co-apply.
Please note that even if you already have a practitioner with whom you you would like to work, you will still need to complete this form to help convey your current needs and priorities.
