Community Consultation on Housing Options for Chilbolton 2026

Chilbolton Parish Council has commissioned Action Hampshire to carry out an independent consultation to understand local views on housing options within the parish. The purpose of this consultation is to gather the views of people who live in Chilbolton in a structured and transparent way. The results will help inform the Parish Council's future discussions about housing and will contribute to the ongoing evidence gathering and community engagement process.

Action Hampshire is an independent charity that provides the Rural Housing Enabler service across Hampshire. We do not build, own or manage housing and have no financial interest in any future development. Our role is simply to carry out the consultation independently and report the findings objectively.

All adults on the Chilbolton electoral register have been invited to take part in this consultation. Submissions can be made via this link or in person at one of the consultation boxes in the village, only one submission per person is allowed.

Response Options
Option 1: Drove Road - 75 homes (Developer-led)
Option 2: Drove Road - approx. 20 homes (Community-led)
Option 3: Gravel Hill - approx. 20 homes (Community-led)
Option 4: No Community-led Development at all

Your response
The consultation asks you to rank the four options in order of preference.
Rank 1 should be your most preferred option.
Rank 4 should be your least preferred option.
You must rank all four options for your response to be included in the final results.
The results will be analysed using a weighted ranking system to ensure all preferences are considered.

Confidentiality
All responses will be treated in confidence by Action Hampshire. Your unique identification number is used solely to verify that each eligible participant submits only one response. Individual responses will not be shared with Chilbolton Parish Council or any other organisation and will only be reported in summary statistical form.
