CHICAGO COMMUNITY REPARATIONS SURVEY
Office of Equity and Racial Justice (OERJ) | City of Chicago | 2026

The City of Chicago seeks to understand Black Chicagoans' experiences across generations, and how systemic racism has shaped life, opportunity, and overall well-being. Your responses will guide Chicago's Reparations Study and inform recommendations for repair.

As a thank you for participating, your entry will be entered into a random sweepstakes to receive a $100 electronic gift card, facilitated by the City of Chicago’s survey administrator and reporting partner, Black Researchers Collective. From now until the end of May 2026, Black Researchers Collective will announce five gift card winners each week via email. You only need to complete the survey once to be entered into the drawing. This survey will close on May 31, 2026. Thank you for participating!

If you would like to be entered into the gift card drawing, please provide your name and email address. This information will be used solely to notify winners and will not be linked to your survey responses.
