Women are a driving force in the art world, yet their work too often remains unseen, undervalued, and under-recognized.
Artnet, in partnership with AWITA (Association for Women in the Arts), is committed to spotlighting the ways women are transforming the fine arts sector from within, while also examining the opportunities and obstacles shaping their professional advancement.
This is the second chapter of an essential, long-term research project focused on gender equity in the arts. The 2026 survey investigates how women in the arts can leverage technology, specifically A.I., to reclaim time, redefine leadership models, and reduce the personal and emotional toll often associated with career progression.
