The Municipality of the District of Argyle, in collaboration with WSP Canada Inc. (WSP), is exploring whether additional policies or regulations are needed to help manage coastal hazards such as erosion, flooding, and storm surge, while balancing environmental protection, property rights, local businesses and livelihoods, and future development opportunities.
The Municipality is seeking feedback from residents, property owners, and community members to better understand local priorities and opinions regarding the current use, importance, management, and future development of lands along the coast and other areas that may be affected by coastal hazards, including erosion, storm surge, sea level rise, and tidal flooding.
In addition to completing this survey, community members are invited to attend one of the upcoming public open houses to learn more about the project, ask questions, and share their perspectives:
- September 21 | Le Club Acadien, 8191 Highway 3, Ste. Anne du Ruisseau | 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
- September 22 | West Pubnico Fire Department, 897 Highway 335, Pubnico | 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
This survey should take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete. Your input will help guide future planning and policy discussions.
