PROJECT BACKGROUND

?aq̓am Administration is completing a feasibility study to assess the potential impacts of a new Multi-Use Sports Complex / Community Centre on ?aq̓am Lands.

A multi-use facility could facilitate opportunities for healthy recreation activities including sports and athletics, cultural activities, fitness, and arts and crafts. Additionally, a facility could contribute economically to the region, by attracting users from outside the regional community to participate in sports tournaments, attend entertainment or cultural events, etc.

?aq̓am Administration is seeking your input from all Ktunaxa community members to understand:
  • What demand there is for sports and recreation activities
  • How a facility could help support the ?aq̓am community and the surrounding region
  • Community interest and concerns related to the development

Your input will help to guide the feasibility study.  Please take the time to complete the survey – it should take approximately 15 minutes to complete, and there is an opportunity at the end to note any specific benefits/concerns related to the study.

Thank you for your contribution to this important study!
